Our unique tool is SOPHI@ABC for research in segmented markets. SOPHI is our CATI-system and ABC is an acronym for Adaptive Bayesian Classification. Sounds scary, but the underlying idea is really very simple. It classifies respondents in telephone surveys (or other kinds of computer assisted interviewing) by asking as few questions as possible in an 'intelligent' order, and stoping when classification is succeded. SOPHI@ABC is useful whenever you have a task of classification to prior defined groups or segments, described by the way they have answered a set of questions.
You will benefit from using the system in several situations. SOPHI@ABC provides a short and precise classification "on the fly", giving you the opportunity to ask specific questions to one or more segments and to use the segment as a screening or recruitement criteria for focus group interviews or other kinds of qualitative research.
SOPHI@ABC is used in our food and consumer research as an integrated part of the food related lifestyle segmentation. SOPHI@ABC is available on the internet, Cyber@ABC. Try how it works by classifying your self to the food related lifestyle segments – one of the nine Food Focus archetypes in Scandinavia.
